MASCAC Football Weekly Report 9/17

Offensive Player of the Week

Quinn Fleeting
Western Conn. State
Senior • Quarterback • Windsor, Conn.

Fleeting completed 30-of-39 passes (77 percent) for 411 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in the Colonials’ 37-29 win over Plymouth State. Touchdowns were from 46, 8 and 4 yards with an average of 10.5 yards per passing play.

 Defensive Player of the Week

Jaquan Harris
Framingham State
Senior • Defensive Back • Boston, Mass.

Harris finished with two tackles (one solo), one for a loss of two yards, a fumble recovery with a return of three yards, two interceptions returned for 62 yards, including one on the five yard line with just over a minute remaining to halt a potential game-tying drive in the Rams’ 19-13 win over Bridgewater State. Also recorded three pass breakups.

Special Teams Player of the Week

George Lampros
Massachusetts Maritime
Freshman • Punter/Kicker • Bridgewater, Mass.

Lampros made first two career field goals (34, 39) and converted all four PAT attempts in the Buccaneers’ 34-25 Admiral’s Cup victory at Maine Maritime. Averaged 54.8 yards on six kickoffs and 34 yards on four punts.

Rookie of the Week

Stephen Gacioch
UMass Dartmouth
Freshman • Quarterback • Tiverton, R.I.

Gacioch threw for 251 yards on 13-of-20 passing (65 percent) with four touchdowns in just his second career start in the Corsairs’ 51-26 win over Westfield State. Had touchdown passes of 19, 11, five and 16. Helped the team finish with 448 yards of total offense and the most points scored in a game since 2008.
