MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week - Week 5

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The MASCAC Football Play-of-the-Week highlights the top plays from each conference game of the weekend, and asks fans to vote on their favorite. 

The four nominees from Week 5 are embedded below. Watch each highlight, and vote for the play that you think is the MASCAC Football Play-of-the-Week! Voting is open until Wednesday at noon. The vote totals and the winning play will be announced Thursday on the MASCAC website and social media sites.

Play No. 1 - Bridgewater State 

Bridgewater QB Brad Thiltgen throws a quick pass to Jack Lavanchy who then does a spin move off the defender before running it 25 yards for the touchdown in the win.

Play No. 2 - Mass. Maritime

On their first drive of the game, Mass. Maritime QB Ty Ebdon finds Paul Sances downfield who then outruns the defender 60 yards for the touchdown. 

Play No. 3 - Western Conn. State

Leaping in front of the receiver, WCSU's Justin Witherspoon intercepts the throw then takes off down the sideline. He avoids two tackles while taking it a school-record tying 97 yards for the touchdown. 

 

Play No. 4 - Westfield State

Westfield QB Jake Cassidy drops back to pass then after nearly getting sacked, he launces the ball downfield to Mike Miller who takes it in for the 39 yard score.
