Player of the Week

Dakota Smith-Porter
Worcester State
Senior • INF • Montague, Mass.

Smith-Porter batted .563 (18-32) with five doubles, three home runs, six runs scored and 12 RBI with a .588 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage in nine games for the Lancers over two weeks. Went 4-7 with two home runs, two runs scored and four RBI in the doubleheader split with Westfield State, including the game-tying two run home run in the 6-5 game two victory. Went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored in the 13-7 win over Buffalo State and 3-for-4 with a double and RBI in the 9-2 win over Union College. Batted .500 or above in 8-of-9 games played.

Pitcher of the Week

Kelsi Gunarathne
Framingham State
Junior • P • N. Providence, R.I.

Gunarathne, in three appearances (two starts) went 2-0 with a 0.58 ERA, including a complete game shutout victory against New England College. Went seven innings and allowed no runs on two hits with a walk and six strikeouts. Also, earned the game one win over MCLA, going three innings and allowing no runs on two hits with five strikeouts.

Rookie of the Week

Emily Arredondo
Westfield State
Freshman • P • Woburn, Mass.

Arrendondo went 2-0 with a complete game shutout, allowing 11 hits over 12 innings with a 0.58 ERA, six strikeouts and five walks. Pitched a complete game shutout in the 12-0 win over Elms College, allowing only two hits, no earned runs with two strikeouts and three walks. Earned her first conference win in the 6-4 victory over Worcester State, allowing nine hits, an earned run with four strikeouts and two walks.
