Bridgewater State's Elizabeth Ettridge and Worcester State's Michaila Parent were named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's At-Large First Team, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A three-time All-MASCAC Women’s Lacrosse selection, Ettridge is making her first appearance on the CoSIDA Academic All-District® Team. The Marshfield, Massachusetts product tallied 67 goals and nine assists for 76 points in 2018 to go along with 27 ground balls, 62 draw controls and 19 caused turnovers. She led the MASCAC in goals and ranked fifth in scoring and eighth in draws.
In 56 games over her first three seasons, Ettridge has amassed 148 goals and 37 assists for 185 points. She is currently tenth all-time at BSU in goals.
Academically, the secondary education and history major has maintained a stellar 3.975 grade point average over her first three academic years and has been on the Dean’s List in every semester during her time at Bridgewater State. Ettridge is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma (student-athlete honor society) and a three-time member of the MASCAC Spring All-Academic Team.
Parent currently holds a 4.00 GPA as a Chemistry major. In addition to earning the Academic All-District prestigious honor, she was the recipient of 2017 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Scholar Athlete award which is presented to the 2017 Division III NFHCA All-American honoree who earns the highest cumulative GPA through the first semester of the 2017-18 academic year. She also has earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honors, along with spots on the NFHCA National Academic Squad, and MASCAC and LEC All-Academic teams. She has made her way to Dean's list each semester since she started at Worcester State and was inducted into Worcester State's Chi Alpha Sigma student-athlete honors society this year.
While she is a standout in the classroom, her athletic skills contributed to the Lancers' first-ever Little East Conference (LEC) regular season championship and back-to-back MASCAC regular season titles. This season, she totaled a program-record 21 goals and 15 assists for 57 points. She was named the university's first-ever NFHCA field hockey All-American and garnered LEC Offensive Player of the Year honors. She has only been with the Worcester State field hockey program for two years, and has broken almost every offensive record that the program has, and still has one more season left.
