Bridgewater State Men, Westfield State Women Seek Repeat Titles at 2026 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship
Bridgewater State men and Westfield State women are looking to continue their winning ways at the 2026 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday, April 25 hosted by Fitchburg State.
Bridgewater State men and Westfield State women are looking to continue their winning ways at the 2026 MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship on Saturday, April 25 hosted by Fitchburg State.
The meet will begin at 10 am with the start of the field events while the track events will begin at 11 am. Live results will be available throughout the meet and complete results and recap will be on mascac.com following the completion of the day.
During the 2025 Men's Outdoor Championship, Bridgewater State claimed their seventh straight conference crown. The Bears captured 11 MASCAC individual and two relay titles to win the MASCAC title. Leading the way with two apiece were Kevin McBirney and Corey Stalters. McBirney crossed the line first in the 800 (1:54.98) and 1,500 meters (4:02.60). Stalters claimed individual titles in the shot put (15.12m) and javelin (65.89m).
On the women's side, Westfield State won their second straight title. The Owls came in first with five first place showings and a relay win. Eliza Lee was a two-time champ on the day, crossing the line first in the 400m hurdles (1:06.09) and triple jump (11.27m). Julianne Kelly came in first in the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 12:27.31. On the field side, Emily Ottomaniello won the pole vault with a clearing of 1.99m while Bronwyn Pinsly grabbed first place in the discus with a top throw of 38.83m. The quartet of Molly Lenehan, Molly Kennedy, Tealei Chandonnet and Reese Stevens came across the line first in the 4x800m relay in 10:11.87.
