Bridgewater State's Simard Named 2026 MASCAC Female Scholar-Athlete
Following a stellar diving career for Bridgewater State, Cailey Simard was named the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Female Scholar-Athlete, which is voted on by the Athletic Directors from around the league.

Following a stellar diving career for Bridgewater State, Cailey Simard was named the 2026 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Female Scholar-Athlete, which is voted on by the Athletic Directors from around the league.
Diving from the one and three meter boards, Simard etched her name in the Bridgewater State record books. She was a four-time NCAA Regional qualifier and back-to-back NCAA Qualifier in both 2025 and 2026. She finished 13th in the one meter and 27th in the three meter at the 2026 NCAA Championship. As part of the Little East Conference, she was named the conference's Diver of the Year all four-years she competed while earning four All-Conference accolades.
Simard's success wasn't limited to the pool. She was recognized as the Bridgewater State 2026 Dr. Adrian Tinsley Scholar-Athlete Award. She also was recognized by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-American for the second straight year. Landed on the Bridgewater State's Deans List for seven semester, 2023-26 College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and 2023-2026 CSCAA All-Academic Team. She finished with a 3.911 cumulative grade point average, graduating early and starting her graduate studies this past spring semester. The kinesiology major earned a perfect 4.0 during the Fall 2025 semester.
While excelling athletically and academically, Simard was also involved in several community service organizations including Morgan's Message and Special Olympics. She served for four year as a Morgan's Message. The organization's mission is to amplify stories, resources and expertise to strengthen student-athlete mental health, build a community by and for athletes through peer-to-peer conversations and provide a platform for advocacy. She also was a four-year volunteer with the Special Olympics Southeast Massachusetts chapter.
Simard is enjoying her time off this summer serving as a lifeguard but plans to return to Bridgewater State in the fall to continue her graduate studies with hopes of one day becoming a teacher.
