Baseball Weekly Award Winners 4/28
Dave Ruggiero of Worcester State, Kevin Kwedor of Massachusetts Maritime and Joe Lyons of Fitchburg State are the baseball player, pitcher and rookie of the week, respectively.

Ruggiero batted .400 (6-15) in a 6-1 week for the Lancers with three doubles, seven RBI and a trio of runs scored which included five hits, four RBI in a 9-4 and 6-4 wins over Framingham State and three hits and three runs driven in with a double in a 6-1 and 9-0 victories over Salem State.

Kwedor threw the 25th perfect game in NCAA Division III history (and first in program's history) by retiring all 21 batters faced in the Buccaneers' 4-0 victory over MCLA. Struck out six while inducing seven ground ball outs and eight fly ball outs in throwing 60 of 89 pitches for strikes. Also went distance in scattering seven hits and fanning four in a 1-0 setback to Framingham State.

Lyons finished 9-21 (.429) with five runs scored and seven RBI in a 3-3 week for the Falcons. Went 5-8 with two runs scored and four RBI in a series with Westfield State, while adding a pair of hits, including a double and one RBI in a series sweep of Bridgewater State. Chipped in with two hits, two runs and two RBI in a 10-6 win over Becker College.
