Ryan Kelleher of Bridgewater State, Brian Kwedor of Massachusetts Maritime and Ben Palatino of Worcester State claim the first MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades of the 2017 season.

Kelleher batted .688 (11-16) with a home run, a double, four RBI and six runs scored in four games for the Bears last week. Also recorded a .667 on base percentage and a .938 slugging percentage. Went 4-for-7 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI in a pair of games against The Apprentice School. Went 7-for-9 with a home run, a stolen base, four runs and a pair of RBI in a doubleheader split with Hilbert College. |

Brian Kwedor Massachusetts Maritime Sophomore • P • Marshfield, Mass. Kwedor tossed 2 1/3 innings of one-hit scoreless relief and struck out one to earn the victory in the Buccaneers’ 8-5 triumph over Houghton (N.Y.).

Palatino went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, four runs scored and five RBI in the Lancers’ 15-14 come-from-behind win over Fisher College. Scored the game-tying run in the 9th inning and was perfect on defense with seven put-outs in his collegiate baseball debut. |
