Fitchburg State's Lefebvre, Stalters Earn ECAC DIII New England Weekly Honors

The Fitchburg State duo of Brandon Lefebvre and Cameron Stalters earn ECAC Division III New England Baseball and Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors.

The first-year Falcon batted .333 (3-for-10) with a double, five runs scored, eight walks and six RBI in four games for the Green and Gold. Lefebvre finished 3-for-5, including a double, four walks, five runs batted in and four runs scored in a double header sweep of Anna Maria College on Tuesday before collecting a trio of walk with one run scored in a 6-5 setback to WPI on Thursday. Earlier this week, he was named the MASCAC Baseball Rookie of the Year.

The Fitchburg State baseball team (6-13, 0-2 MASCAC) returns to action today as they travel to Dean College to take on the Bulldogs for a contest starting at 3:30 p.m.

Stalters collects his second straight weekly accolade from the ECAC and MASCAC on the year after placing second overall in the javelin with an Open New England qualifying mark of 63.87m (209' 6") at the UMass Dartmouth Classic. Currently Stalters ranks fourth nationally in the javelin with his mark from Saturday.

The Fitchburg State men's track & field team returns to action on Friday as it completes in the Regis Spring Classic, hosted by Regis College for a meet starting at 3 p.m.
