Scott Emerson of Bridgewater State plus the Worcester State duo of Gavin Price and Matthew Direnzo earn the MASCAC Baseball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Player of the Week |

Emerson batted .636 (7-11) with two home runs, a double, five runs scored and four RBI in a perfect 3-0 week for the Bears from the lead off spot. Also walked, was twice hit by a pitch and posted a .714 on base percentage as well as a 1.273 slugging percentage. Also performed flawlessly in the field at second base and centerfield with seven assists, three putouts and two double plays. Went 6-for-8 with a pair of home runs, a double, a walk, a hit by pitch, five runs and four RBI in a doubleheader sweep of WPI. Reached safely three times (single, walk, hit by pitch) in a 6-3 win over Dean. |

Pitcher of the Week |

Price went 1-0 with a complete game of seven scoreless innings of work, 10 strikeouts, no walks and eight hits in the Lancers’ 6-2 win over Hamilton. |

Rookie of the Week |
|
Direnzo, in his first collegiate start got the win with a seven inning complete game victory, allowing five hits with six strikeouts and two walks in the Lancers’ 2-1 win over Juniata.
