WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Massachusetts Maritime has earned this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Fan Play of the Week honors for week 8. 

The Buccaneers collected 70 percent of the vote to take home their first fan play of the week honor of the season. The other top play nominees for this week included Bridgewater State, Western Connecticut State and Worcester State.

In the 46-41 win over UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, Massachusetts Maritime's Kenny Pierce was able to break through the Corsairs defensive line and run the ball 81 yards for the touchdown.
