Framingham State's Silva Named ECAC DIII North Offensive Football Player of the Week
Senior quarterback Matt Silva has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 26th.
Senior quarterback Matt Silva (Dracut, Mass.) has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Offensive Player of the Week for the week of September 26th.
Silva completed 28 of 45 pass attempts with five touchdowns for 450 yards in the Rams come from behind 39-35 victory over Western Connecticut. Silva tossed touchdowns of nine, nine, 32, 50 and 20 yards and led the game winning drive for a touchdown with 34 seconds left to secure the victory. Earlier this week Silva was recognized as the MASCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
The Rams are back on the gridiron this weekend with a conference showdown with UMass Dartmouth at home Saturday at 12 pm.
