Western Connecticut State Claims First MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week Honor of the Season
For the first time this season, Western Connecticut State received the most votes in the MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week poll which runs every Monday through Wednesday during the football season.
For the first time this season, Western Connecticut State received the most votes in the MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week poll which runs every Monday through Wednesday during the football season.
Plymouth State and Western Connecticut were neck-and-neck when the poll opened on Monday. Plymouth State pulled into the lead on Tuesday. As of Wednesday morning, the two were separated by 25 votes before the Colonials pulled away with 59 percent of the vote. The Panthers finished with 36 percent of the vote while Bridgewater State and Fitchburg State were also nominees.
WCSU quarterback Quinn Fleeting takes the snap and finds Austin Calamita downfield who shakes off one defender before dragging two more trying to tackle him across the goal line for the 37-yard touchdown. Check out the video of the play below.
