For the third time this season, the Plymouth State Panthers have received the most votes in the MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week voting which runs from Monday to Wednesday at noon each week during the football season.
For the second straight week, Plymouth State and Western Connecticut State jumped out the a fast lead on Monday. The Panters overtook the Colonials on Tuesday with a huge push in the voting and it stayed that way until voting closed Wednesday. Plymouth State finished with 70 percent of the votes while Western Connecticut State was next with 24 percent. Framingham State and Worcester State were also nominees this week.
In the week 8 winning play, Plymouth State quarterback Zack Edwards steps back and tosses a quick pass to Colin Leddy who then avoids not one, not two, but three defenders on his way down the sideline for the 45-yard touchdown in the Panthers' victory. See video of the play below.
Thanks to everyone who voted for this week's nominees. Make sure to check back in next week for another MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week.
