For the first time this season, Massachusetts Maritime earned the most votes in the MASCAC Football Fan Play of the Week poll which runs from Monday to Wednesday at noon throughout the football season.

When voting first opened on Monday, Bridgewater State got out to an early lead while Massachusetts Maritime stayed close in second. It wasn't until Wednesday morning that the Buccaneers were able to overtake the Bears with 50 percent of the votes to their 46 percent. Western Connecticut State and Westfield State were also nominees this week. 

On their first drive of the game against Fitchburg State, Massachusetts Maritime QB Ty Ebdon finds Paul Sances downfield who then outruns the defender 60 yards for the touchdown in this week's winning play.
