Nikolay Boyce of Anna Maria, Budder Ferreira of Westfield State, Joey Naso Bridgewater State, Ka’Marion Thomas of Anna Maria and Michael Marcucell of Framingham State take home the MASCAC Football Offensive, Defensive, Special Teams and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Boyce passed for a career-high 421 yards and five touchdowns in the AMCATS’ 47-43 win over MASCAC rival UMass Dartmouth. He completed 28 passes on 47 attempts with an average of nine yards per attempt and a long pass of 36 yards. Trailing 43-40 with just 55 seconds to go, he facilitated a 7-play 57-yard drive resulting in a game-winning 14-yard touchdown pass to give the AMCATS a 2-1 conference record. |

Defensive Player of the Week |

Ferreira led the Owls with eight tackles, blocked a punt which he recovered in the end zone for a touchdown, and finished with 1.5 sacks and three total TFL’s for a loss of 30 yards as the Owls held the Lancers to -43 rushing yards and just 92 yards of total offense on the day in the 31-22 victory. |

Special Teams Player of the Week |

Naso converted a pair of field goals from 40 and 27 yards, and went 4-for-5 on PATs in the Bears’ 46-40 MASCAC overtime setback to Framingham State. Also averaged 25.8 yards on six punts with one inside the 20 and four fair catches, and made a solo tackle. Weekly Report 9/29 |

Thomas caught a game and career-high 11 passes for 171 yards for an average of 15.5 yards per catch with a long of 34 yards. Added three touchdowns, including a game-winning 14-yard reception to secure a 47-43 win over MASCAC rival UMass Dartmouth. |
