Samantha Souza of Bridgewater State along with the Westfield duo of Emma Gniadek and Alyssa Reynolds are the MASCAC Field Hockey Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week award winners.

Offensive Player of the Week
Samantha Souza, Bridgewater State
Sophomore, Forward, Dartmouth, Mass.

Souza tallied eight goals and an assist for 17 points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears.
Scored four goals, including the game-winner, in a 6-0 MASCAC win on the road over Salem
State. Potted four goals and dished out an assist in the conference victory over Anna Maria.

Emma Gniadek, Westfield State
Senior, Goalie, Worcester, Mass.

Gniadek anchored the Owls defense in a 2-1 overtime win at Worcester State, making six saves in 63:15 of play for a 0.95 goals-against average and .857 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week
Alyssa Reynolds, Westfield State
First Year, Forward, Somers, Conn.

Reynolds fourth-quarter goal lifted forced over time as the Owls went on to win a 2-1 overtime decision at Worcester State, keeping Westfield’s 10 game winning streak alive as the Owls moved to 8-0 in league play.
