Westfield State's Devine Named As ECAC Division III New England Men's Basketball Player Of The Week
Westfield State senior center Matt Devine has been named as the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III New England Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts in leading the Owls to a pair of victories last week

Division III and Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference
(MASCAC) men's basketball player of the week.
The 6-7 senior center from Pembroke averaged 12.0 points, 11.5
rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 4.0 steals and 3.0 assists in Westfield's 2-0
week, including 13 points, 13 boards and six blocks in a big 71-69
overtime victory at MCLA.
Devine tied his own school record for blocks in game with nine
that also featured 11 points, 10 caroms and five assists in a 72-59
triumph over Western Connecticut.
Devine ranks 11th in points (1,211), second in rebounds (924) and
first in blocked shots (341) on Westfield's career records chart
heading into the Owls' final regular season game - Saturday at home
vs. Fitchburg. Tip-off fpr the Senior Day game is 3:00 p.m.

Westfield, 20-4 overall, is in sole possession of first place in
the MASCAC with a 9-2 record and can clinch the regular season
championship outright with a victory over Fitchburg.
