Marcus Faison of Salem State and Alex Santos of Worcester State have been named the MASCAC Men's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10.

Marcus Faison Faison averaged 19 points and 15.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Vikings while shooting 57 percent (16-28) from the floor. Tallied 27 points with 14 rebounds on 12-of-18 shooting (67 percent) in a 94-83 victory over Worcester State and added 11 points and 17 rebounds in a 65-55 win against Framingham State.

Santos averaged 16.5 points, 3.5 assists and two rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. Scored 12 points with five assists in the 77-61 victory over MCLA. Finished with a team-high 21 points and added three rebounds, two assists and two steals in the 94-83 setback to Salem State.
