Plymouth State's Chambers Signs Contract With Central Hockey League Franchise

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Chris Chambers, the leading scorer on the 2009-10 Plymouth State University men's hockey team has signed a professional contract and will suit up this season for the Rapid City (S.D.) Rush of the Central Hockey League (CHL).
The CHL is a professional league made up of 18 teams in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Arizona and South Dakota.
Chambers was named Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Year and First Team All-Star in 2009-10. He led the MASCAC in goals (18), assists (27) and points (45) in 27 games and was a finalist for the 2010 Joe Concannon Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England playing at the D-II/III level. He finished his collegiate career third on PSU’s all-time scoring list with 117points (58 goals, 59 assists), and made a successful professional debut in March with the Johnstown (Pa.) Chiefs of the East Coast Hockey League.
