MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 5/6
After competing at DIII New England's, Kevin McBirney and Alex Huynh of Bridgewater State and Liam Bourassa of Fitchburg State earn the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards.

McBirney earned All-New England honors in the 800-meter run this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships held at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Placed third in the 800 with a career-best time of 1:51.59 as he currently ranks 25th in all of Division III in the event. Helped the Bears finish 11th in the team standings with 23 points. |

Bourassa took top honors in the javelin with an All-New England qualifying toss of 68.99 meters to set a meet and facility record in the javelin, while placing seventh in the hammer throw (50.02M), 11th in the discus (43.09M) and fourth in the shotput (14.65M) for the Falcons at the 2025 DIII New England Championships this weekend. Currently first nationally in the javelin. |

Freshman, Stoughton, Mass.
Huynh earned All-New England honors in both the long jump and high jump at the 2025 Division III New
England Championships held at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Placed sixth in the long jump with a leap of
7.01m and placed seventh in the high jump with a mark of 1.90m. Helped the Bears finish 11th in the team
standings with 23 points.
