MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 2/3
Kevin McBirney of Bridgewater State plus the Fitchburg State duo of Cameron Monette and Paulino Guevara Mateo take home the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards.

McBirney placed tenth in the 800-meter run (second among DIII runners) with a BSU indoor record time of 1:51.79 this past weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. Eclipsed his own previous indoor standard of 1:52.54 set last year at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational. Currently ranks eighth in all of Division III in the 800 and third in the East Region. |

Monette took top honors in the weight throw with an All-New England qualifying and personal best toss of 17.91 meters as well finishing third overall in the shotput with a DIII NE qualifying throw of 13.73 meters for the Falcons at the 2026 Mary Grinaker Invite, hosted by Smith College on Saturday. Weight throw toss puts him at 19th nationally in the event. |
