Bridgewater State Makes It Eight Straight at MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship
Bridgewater State made it eight in a row on Saturday at the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship, claiming the team title at the meet hosted by Fitchburg State.

The Bears claimed five individual titles and two relays to take home the team crown. Kyle Ackroyd began the day with the 10,000m run title in 31:58.11. Ryker King crossed the line first in the 110m hurdles in 15.18. Aydan Fournier was first across the line in the 800m run with a time of 1:56.41. Matt Mooney rounded out the track winners with a time of 22.05 in the 200m dash.
For the field side, Drew Alves had the top clearing in the pole vault at 3.70m. The Bears' 4x100m relay team came in first with a time of 42.58 while the 4x400m relay squad earned the crown with a time of 3:22.27.
Fitchburg State had a second place showing with eight individual titles. Liam Bourassa was four-time winner for the Falcons in the javelin (69.24m), hammer throw (58.81m), shot put (15.84m) and discus (45.90m). Paulino Guevara Mateo was a two-time winner in the 1,500m run (3:57.14) and 5,000m run (15:40.50).
Jesse Moriello earned his first MASCAC title in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.98 while Shamar Richburg had the top leap in the triple jump at 14.12m.
Seth Boudreau was the lone victor for the third place Lancers. He crossed the line in 10.71 for the 100m dash title.
Westfield State had two individual titles and one relay crown. Andrew Organ was the 3,000m steeplechase winner in a time of 10:13.74. Daniel Shea was a champ in the long jump with a top leap of 6.71m.
The Owls' 4x800m quartet crossed in 8:17.46.
Finishing out the individual honorees of the day were Joseph Tully and Will Dalton from Mass. Maritime. Tully had the top leap in high jump at 1.92m while Dalton was the top runner in the 400m dash with a time of 49.97.
The MASCAC outdoor squads return to competition next weekend at the DIII New England Championships.
