Softball Weekly Award Winners 3/16
Jenn Touissant and Marisa Sanchez of Salem State, Kathleen Bailey and Alexandra Wright of Bridgewater State and Terri Ferrazzani of Fitchburg State are the MASCAC Softball weekly honorees.

| Jenn Toussaint Salem State Junior • 1B/3B • Reading, Mass. Toussaint batted .643 (9-14) with two home runs, including a grand slam, a double and 10 RBI with a 1.143 slugging percentage in a 4-0 week for the Vikings. In a doubleheader sweep of Mount Mary and Rockford University, she went 4-for-4, with a grand slam and seven RBI in a 12-4 win over the Blue Angels and followed up by going 3-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in a 10-5 win against the Regents.

Bailey went 2-1 with three complete games and a shutout in four starts for the Bears. Posted a 2.42 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 26 innings of work while opponents batted just .202 against her. Tossed a one-hit shutout with six strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Alverno College. Allowed just one run on four hits with three strikeouts in a 9-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford.

Ferrazzani went 2-1 with one save and 20 strikeouts, while posting an ERA of 2.41 over 20.1 innings of work in seven appearances for the Falcons. Pitched a complete game, four hitter with a career best 11 strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Gordon College before pitching 1 1/3 innings of relief to pick up her first collegiate save in a 4-2 victory against Coast Guard. |

Alexandra Wright Bridgewater State Freshman • P • Lakeville, Mass. Wright went 1-0 with a save and a 0.00 ERA in four appearances out of the bullpen for the Bears. Allowed just one unearned run in 8 1/3 innings of work while striking out 10. Hurled three scoreless inning with five strikeouts in a 6-1 setback to Minnesota Morris. Picked up her first collegiate win in a 5-4 extra inning victory over Drew University as she gave up just one unearned run in two innings of work with one strikeout. Tossed two scoreless innings with four strikeouts in a 14-2 win over Wisconsin Lutheran. Got the final four outs in a 5-3 win over Emmanuel College to earn her first collegiate save. |

Sanchez batted .444 (4-9) with seven walks and nine runs scored ina 4-0 week for the Vikings. Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 10-5 win over Rockford University and walked four times and scored three runs in a 10-5 victory against Geneva.
