Shannon Grindle of Bridgewater State and Meghan Black of Salem State earn the MASCAC Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week accolades.

Grindle batted .524 (11-21) with a home run, two doubles, seven RBI and two runs scored with a .762 slugging percentage and .471 on-base percentage in a 4-2 week for the Bears. Went 5-for-8 with a walk-off home run, a double, five RBI and a run scored in a doubleheader split with Westfield State. Also had two hits and an RBI in a doubleheader split with Salem State. Went 4-for-5 with a double, a stolen base, a run and an RBI in a sweep of Rhode Island College. |

Meghan Black Salem State Junior • P • Winchendon, Mass. Black went 2-0 for the Vikings. pitching two complete games with a 1.91 ERA, 20 hits and four earned runs. Allowed two runs on eight hits in a 4-2 win over Bridgewater State and allowed six hits and no runs with no walks in a 14-0 win over MCLA. |
