Amelia Blake and McKayla Cusack of Bridgewater State along with Ellie Etemad-Gilbertson of Framingham State grab the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Blake batted .529 (9-17) with three walks, a stolen base, five runs scored and eight RBI in a 5-1 week for the Bears. Also posted a .600 on base percentage. Went 4-for-6 with three RBI as the Bears swept a MASCAC doubleheader from conference regular season champion Westfield State. Also went 3-for-6 with a walk, a run and three RBI in a doubleheader split with Salve Regina; and 2-for-5 with a pair of walks, a stolen base, four runs and two RBI in a twinbill sweep of Vermont State Lyndon. |

Cusack went 3-0 in the circle for the Bears last week with a pair of complete games an impressive 0.88 ERA and nine strikeouts over 16 innings of work. Allowed a run on eight hits with a pair of walks and two strikeouts in a 5-1 win complete game win over MASCAC rival Westfield State. Also gave up a run on four hits with six strikeouts over seven complete innings in a 7-1 victory over Vermont State Lyndon; and tossed two scoreless and hitless innings of relief with a walk and a strikeout in a 7-4 triumph over Salve Regina. |

Etemad-Gilbertson hit .667 in conference play going 4-for-6 with a double, triple, three runs scored and six RBI in a sweep of Fitchburg State to secure the second seed in the tournament. Added a 1-for-4 with two stolen bases in a setback to Nichols. Weekly Report 5/5 |
