With the win, the Lancers receive the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament. 

THE BASICS: 

- Scores:  Worcester State 5, Framingham State 3 

- Records: Framingham State (27-15), Worcester State (27-12) 

- Location:  Maple Street Field – Framingham, Mass.    

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• The Lancers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a pair of bases loaded walks. 

• Worcester State extended the lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single and a two-run double.  

• The Rams opened the top of the sixth with a single from Ellie Etemad-Gilbertson and Makayla Rooney followed with a double putting runners on second and third.  Jocelyn Pepe delivered a sacrifice fly to center cutting the deficit to 5-1. 

• Abigail Behrikis reached on an error to lead off the top of the seventh and came around to score on an RBI double by Ava Sillings. Brooke Grassia singled, putting runners on the corners and the tying run at the plate with one out for the Rams. Etemad-Gilbertson followed with a sacrifice fly cutting the deficit to 5-3 with two outs, but the Lancers were able to record the final out and secure the final out. 

• Tournament MVP Peyton Maloney earned the victory in the circle going seven innings allowing three runs, one earned, on eight hits with two strikeouts. 

• Audrey Gauthier took the loss for the Rams tossing six innings and allowing five runs, two earned, on four hits with five strikeouts and five walks. 

• Brooke Grassia went 3-for-4 in the game, while Ava Sillings went 2-for-3 with a run scored, a double and an RBI.

The Lancers will find out on Monday at 11 am where they are headed in the NCAA Tournament.
