Hannah Wodecki of Westfield State plus the Bridgewater State duo of Lily Gagnon and Aubrey Carberry claim the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Wodecki batted .522 (12-23) with seven doubles, seven RBI, eight runs scored, .826 slugging percentage, .542 on-base percentage and 1.000 field percentage in a 6-0 week for the Owls. Went 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBI and a run scored in the 11-7 win over Pitt.-Bradford. Went 3-for-4 with three doubles and three runs scored in the 7-2 win over SUNY-Potsdam. Went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI in the 15-0 shutout of Alfred State. Got a hit in 5-of-6 games to start the Owls’ season. |

Gagnon went 2-0 with a pair of complete games and shutout in two starts for the Bears last week at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River, South Carolina. Also posted a 0.00 earned run average with ten strikeouts and just one walk in ten innings of work. Tossed a complete game three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in an 8-0 mercy rule win over Valley Forge. Allowed just a pair of unearned runs on five hits with no walks and three strikeouts in a 10-2 mercy rule win over Penn State-Abington. Chipped in at the plate last week as she went 4-for-12 with a walk, two runs and four RBI. Weekly Report 3/16 |

Carberry batted .500 (11-22) with two doubles, three triples, a stolen base, seven runs scored and 12 RBI in a 6-2 week for the Bears are the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River, South Carolina. Also posted an .864 slugging percentage. Went 3-for-3 with a pair of triples, two runs and two RBI in a 10-2 win over Penn State-Abington; 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and three RBI in an 8-1 win over Cairn; 2-for-3 with a double, run and two RBI in a 7-0 win over Lycoming; 3-for-3 with a double, run and and two RBI in a 5-3 win over Thiel; and 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs in a 13-8 setback to Penn State-Altoona. Also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in an 8-0 win over Penn State-Beaver and recorded two sacrifice flies in an 8-0 win over Valley Forge. Weekly Report 3/16 |
