Westfield State Set to Play Bowdoin in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament
After earning an automatic NCAA Division III bid by winning the MASCAC Tournament, the Westfield State Owls women's baskeball team will travel to Bowdoin, Maine for an opening round matchup with host Bowdoin College on Friday, March 4 at a time to be determined.

WESTFIELD, Mass. --- After earning an automatic NCAA Division III bid by winning the MASCAC Tournament, the Westfield State Owls women's baskeball team will travel to Bowdoin, Maine for an opening round matchup with host Bowdoin College on Friday, March 4 at a time to be determined.
The winner of that game will play the winner of New York University and Lehman College on Saturday, March 5.

Westfield State finished the regular season with a record of 20-7, 11-1 in the MASCAC.
The Owls are making just their second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Bowdoin is 20-6 on the season, and finished 8-2 in the NESCAC. The Polar Bears are led by 6-foot senior forward Shannon Brady, who averages 16.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
