For the second straight week, Kia Fernandes of Salem State is the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week while Mikaela Mitchell of Fitchburg State claims Rookie of the Year honors.

Fernandes averaged 19 points on 56.4% (22-39) shooting with nine rebounds and seven blocks in a 2-1 week for the Vikings. Notched a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds with four blocks in a 78-75 win over Plymouth State University and had 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting and nine rebounds with a pair of blocks in a 68-55 victory at Endicott College. Netted nine points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block in the 66-52 setback to the University of Southern Maine.

Mitchell averaged 7.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest over three games for the Falcons. Registered a double-double of 10 points and 11 boards to go along with two assists in a 94-80 setback to Mount Ida College before adding four points, five rebounds and one steal in a 69-61 loss to Suffolk University. Finished the week with eight points, three rebounds and three steals in a 63-57 setback to Curry College.
