The Westfield State duo of Kierra McCarthy and Melissa Gray are the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week after leading the Owls to their third straight MASCAC Tournament Title.

McCarthy averaged 14 points, five rebounds, an assist and steal on her way to earning Tournament MVP honors during the MASCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament. Tallied 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the 90-75 championship game win over Framingham State. Scored 13 points with three rebounds in the 105-80 semifinal win over Worcester State.

Gray averaged 13 points, five rebounds and two steals in helping the Owls to the MASCAC Tournament championship. Finished with 18 points and three steals in the 105-80 MASCAC semifinal win over Worcester State and then added eight points and nine rebounds in the 90-75 victory over Framingham State in the title game.
