Bridgewater State to Face Springfield College in First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament
After winning the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament title in dramatic fashion on Saturday evening, Bridgewater State found out Sunday they will face Springfield College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, May 14.

After winning the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament title in dramatic fashion on Saturday evening, Bridgewater State found out Sunday they will face Springfield College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, May 14.
This is the Bears fourth straight MASCAC Tournament crown and seventh straight trip to the NCAA Tournament as a former member of the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance and MASCAC. Bridgewater State finished the season with a 12-5 overall record.
Springfield College concluded their regular season 14-5 overall. The Pride, which earned an automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament after claiming the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship on Sunday afternoon with a 5-4 win over Babson, will be making its sixth trip to the national stage as a program.
The winner between Springfield and Bridgewater State on Saturday will advance to take on host Bates College, which is currently ranked No. 9 in the nation according to the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) National Rankings.
