Worcester State Lands Top Seed in 2025 MASCAC Women's Soccer Tournament
For the first time since 2018, Worcester State is the top seed in the upcoming MASCAC Women's Soccer Tournament after winning the regular season title.

Kicking off the tournament is the quarterfinal round on Wednesday, Nov. 5 with #4 Salem State hosting #5 Framingham State at 4 pm then #3 Bridgewater State hosts #6 Fitchburg State at 7. Top Seed Worcester State entertains the lowest remaining seed on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 pm while #2 Westfield State takes on the other remaining seed at 7.
Then on Sunday, Nov. 9, the two semifinal victors will then meet at the highest remaining seed for the MASCAC Tournament title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lancers get a first round bye after finishing the season 7-1 for the number one seed. Ava Lemanski led the team with seven goals and two assists for 16 points with three of her tallies being game-winners during the regular season.
Landing the other first round bye is second seed Westfield State who was 6-0-2 in MASCAC play. In goal for the Owls, Julia Robak led the MASCAC in goals against average at 0.78 and goals against with just 10. She ended the season second with an .844 save percentage while stopping 54 total shots over her 15 games started.
Third Seed Bridgewater State gets quarterfinal hosting duties after going 5-1-2 during the conference slate. Olivia Robarge, last year's tournament MVP, concluded the year first in the MASCAC in goals with eight while assisting on two others for 18 points. She had 63 shots and netted two game-winners.
Getting the final hosting role is Salem State in the fourth spot. The Vikings were 4-4 and found success with goalie Ava Guyer who finished first in the league in save percentage at .857, second in goals against average at 1.00 and third in save with 96 this season.
Rounding out this year's tournament field are Framingham State and Fitchburg State with the fifth and sixth seed, respectively. For the Rams in her first season, Leiyani Buckner led the squad with five goals and three assists for 13 points while going a perfect 3-3 on penalty kicks and draining two game-winners. For the Falcons, Adrianna Westcott found the back of the net six times with three assists for 15 points along with two game-winners on the year.
During the 2024 tournament, top seed Bridgewater State defeated second seed Westfield State, 3-2 victory for the Bears first tournament win since 2013 to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
