MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 4/29
Bridgewater State's Kiara Abrantes and Olivia Downin plus Ciara Adu-Addo of Worcester State earn the MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors after competing at the MASCAC Championship Friday.

Abrantes won a pair of conference individual titles, including breaking her own school record in the 400-meter dash, and was a part of two conference champion relay squads last Friday at the MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Won the 400 with a time of 55.65 seconds as she eclipsed her previous outdoor mark of 55.70 second set at the Tufts Sunshine Classic. Also garnered top honors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.37 seconds and ran a leg on both the MASCAC champion 4x100 (48.19) and 4x400 (4:10.21) relay quartets. Currently ranked 13th in all of Division III in the 400 and second in the East Region. The Bears’ 4x100 relay team is presently ranked fifth in the East Region while the 4x400 is ranked 11th in the region. Weekly Report 4/29 |

Adu-Addo broke a school record and recorded a personal best in the long jump with a top leap of 5.68m to take home the MASCAC title in the event at the MASCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Currently 31st in the event nationally and fourth in the East Region. |

Downin won the conference title in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:23.31 at the MASCAC Outdoor Championships. Also ran a leg on the Bears’ second place 4x800-meter relay squad which posted a time of 10:32.49. Currently ranked 30th in the East Region in the 800. Weekly Report 4/29 |
