ECAC DIII NE Volleyball All-Star Teams
Framingham State's Alycia Rackliffe and MCLA's Allison Clark earn Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Star Team accolades while MCLA's coach Amanda Beckwith was named the ECAC DIII New England Coach of the Year as announced by the organization.
This is the second straight ECAC All-Star nod for Rackliffe while Clark collects her first as a member of the Trailblazers. This is also the first time Beckwith has received Coach of the Year honors. The ECAC awards are voted on by representatives from the region’s member institutions.
Rackliffe was named MASCAC Player of the Year and is a three-time first team All-MASCAC member. The junior lead the MASCAC in kills (410) and kills per set (4.06). She finished the regular season second in hitting percentage (.331) and blocks per set (0.82) and was tabbed as the conference player of the week four times during the season.
Clark set a school record for kills in a season with 470 and was a first team All MASCAC selection during the regular season. Twice she was named the conference's player of the week. She was also third on the team amassing 363 digs to complement her offensive game.
Clark amassed double digit kills in 28 contests this past season, including a season best 26 in a MASCAC playoff win over Bridgewater State. She amassed 16 double doubles on the season and saved her best for last earning them in all postseason contests in 2015.
Beckwith in her ninth year at the helm for the Trailblazers helped her team claim their first MASCAC regular season title while also earning MASCAC Coach of the Year honors. Coach Beckwith led MCLA to a 24-11 mark over the course of the season, including 13 straight wins that was a program record.
