The Salem State duo of Presley Shairs and Kailey Roche along with MCLA's Kaelynn Greeley take home the MASCAC Women's Volleyball Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week awards.

Shairs totaled 21 kills (10.5 kills per match) with a .234 hitting percentage, two service aces, four blocks and eight digs in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. Finished with 13 kills, two aces, a solo block and two block assists in the 3-1 win over Fitchburg State. Added eight kills, three digs and a solo block in the 3-0 win over Norwich. Defensive Player of the Week
Kailey Roche, Salem State
Senior, Libero, Billerica, Mass.
at Norwich. Finished with five per set in a 3-1 MASCAC win at Fitchburg State. Has
now recorded 20-plus digs in three-straight matches (seven overall). Chipped in
two service aces in the win at Norwich.

Greeley had 43 kills (3.58 per set) and 22 digs (1.83 per set) in three matches this week for MCLA. Had 18 kills, averaging 3.60 per set with a .333 hitting percentage along with 14 digs (2.80 per set) in a 3-2 setback to MASCAC rival Framingham State and had a combined 25 kills (3.57 per set) and 8 digs in a nonconference tri-match against Suffolk University and Nichols College. |
