MASCAC AND PENN ATLANTIC SIGN WEBCAST AGREEMENT

WESTFIELD, MA, April 3, 2007 - The Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) announced on Tuesday, April 3 that it has signed a formal agreement with Penn Atlantic, Inc. to webcast MASCAC games for the 2007-08 season.

The MASCAC initially plans to webcast regular season and MASCAC Championships for women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball games. From there, the conference plans to explore the possibility of expanding coverage to other MASCAC-sponsored sports.

"The MASCAC is very excited to offer our student-athletes, alumni, parents, and fans a new way to watch their favorite teams compete," MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann said. "This is also an outstanding opportunity for the MASCAC to showcase the 8 Massachusetts State Colleges to the world with one of  best quality webcasts online today."

"We are thrilled to announce this partnership with the MASCAC.  The conference will now be able to showcase its dedicated student-athletes via television-quality video internet streaming," Penn Atlantic Vice President for Sports Operations Jonathan Harper said.  "We are pleased to continue our goal of increasing the promotion of Division III with the addition of the MASCAC to our growing team."
