OSHKOSH, WI, May 24, 2008 - Five MASCAC athletes recently competed in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championship hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Salem State senior Eddie Bynum (Lynn, MA) earned All-American honors in both the 100 and 200-meter dash. Bynum finished seventh in the 100 (10.83) and eighth in the 200 (21.82).

Westfield State senior Drew Soltysiak (Westfield, MA) and junior Marlee Berg (Chelmsford, MA) both competed for the Owls, as Soltysiak earned All-American honors with a third place finish in the javelin (206-11), while Berg placed 11th in the high jump (5-2 1/2).

Bridgewater State seniors Nicole Mauro (Mashpee, MA) and Rachel Smith (Somerset, MA) both competed for the Bears. Mauro finished 14th in the 5,000-meters (17:42.90) and Smith placed 13th in the trials of the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.90).
