Salem State Wins MASCAC Men's Basketball Tournament Title

MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
SALEM, MA, Feb. 24, 2007 - Top-seeded Salem State (24-2) won the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Tournament championship on Saturday afternoon with a 72-62 win over third-seeded Westfield State (17-11).
With Saturday's victory, Salem State won its 14th MASCAC Tournament title overall, including its seventh in the last eight years. The Vikings now await their seeding in this week's upcoming NCAA Division III Championship, which will be announced by early Monday morning.
