Bridgewater State Vacates Four MASCAC Men's Soccer Contests
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Wednesday that the Bridgewater State men's soccer team will vacate four conference games as a result of NCAA rule 14.7.1.
The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Wednesday that the Bridgewater State men's soccer team will vacate four conference games as a result of NCAA rule 14.7.1. As a result of the ruling, the record remains the same however, the standings are adjusted and the games are viewed as a loss for tiebreaker scenarios.
The four vacated conference games were against Framingham State University, MCLA, Massachusetts Maritime, Salem State University and four non-conference games.
The Bears' conference record will reflect the vacated contests and for the conference tiebreaker process, the four conference and four non-conference games will be awarded to the opposing team.
Bridgewater State is still eligible to participate in MASCAC, NCAA and ECAC competition if the team qualifies. The top six teams qualify for the MASCAC playoffs, which begin Tuesday, November 3.
