PAXTON, MA, Oct. 20, 2007 - The Westfield State men's and women's cross country teams earned a sweep of the MASCAC Cross Country Championships at Moore State Park on Saturday, October 20.

In the women's meet, Westfield State placed four runners in the top 10 and tallied 45 points en route to team championship honors. Bridgewater State (60), Salem State (64), Worcester State (93), Fitchburg State (137), Mass. Maritime (160) and Framingham State (167) rounded out the seven-team field.

In the men's meet, Westfield State had all five of its scoring runners place in the top 15 overall to post a winning total of 46 points. Worcester State (50), Mass. Maritime (81), Fitchburg State (106), Bridgewater State (118), Salem State (123) and MCLA (190) rounded out the seven-team field.
