Bridgewater State Women Repeat as MASCAC Indoor Track and Field Champions
The Bridgewater State women's squad has repeated as the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship in Providence, Rhode Island at the Providence Career and Technical Academy hosted by Rhode Island College and UMass Dartmouth.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Bridgewater State women's squad has repeated as the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship in Providence, Rhode Island at the Providence Career and Technical Academy hosted by Rhode Island College and UMass Dartmouth.
Bridgewater State took home the MASCAC title with 194 points over runner-up Westfield State with 149 points. Worcester State came in third with 143 points while Fitchburg State finished fourth with 94 points.
The Bears were able to reclaim the conference championship with a top finish in six of the 19 events. On the track side, Krysta Zbikowski finished first for All-Conference honors in the 5,000 meter run (19:36.62), Abbie Pustis was first in the 400 meter dash (1:00.88) and the team claimed the 4x400 relay (4:12.75) and 4x800 (10:15.62).
For the field events, Ariele Krevosky took home the top slot in the triple jump (35' 4.8"/10.79 meters) while teammate Samantha Richner grabbed the crown and a conference record in the high jump (5" 5.35"/1.66 meters).
Second place finisher Westfield State claimed five individual crowns, including two each for Jessie Cardin and Naloti Palma. Cardin finished first in both the mile (5:18.27) and 3,000 meter run (10:36.35). Palma took first in the weight throw (49' 8.5"/15.15 meters) and best her already held conference record in the shot put (46' 8.24"/14.23 meters). Ashley Monahan nabbed the other first place spot in the 1,000 meter run (3:11.04).
Worcester State as a team won three first place titles. Alyssa Jasper earned All-Conference honors in the 200 meter dash (27.05) while teammate Amanda Caldarone was first in the long jump (16' 10.36"/5.14 meters). As a team, the Lancers were tops in the 4x200 meter relay (1:47.33) as well.
Rounding out the top finishers is Fitchburg State with five top spots. On the track side, Annie Wooley earned a first place finish in the 60 meter hurdles (9.34), Arthina Robert in the 60 meter dash (8.04), Jenna Phelps in the 600 meter run (1:43.57) and Jenae Harrison in the 800 meter run (2:22.50). Rebecca McClure, for field events, earned a new league record and the crown in the pole vault (11' 1.07"/3.38 meters) to close out the top event winners.
Southern Maine finished first in the New England Alliance standings which includes MASCAC and Little East Conference teams. Bridgewater State was the top MASCAC finisher in third with 95 points.
